
Lette’s Chat is a BIPOC-themed weekly podcast created by and for Black women and the issues that affect us globally. The primary focus of the show is discussions surrounding race, racism, inequality, and racial discrimination as they relate to Black women. Grounded on the foundation of providing information and support for Black women, Lette’s Chat is “real talk with real people” and showcases guests who are experts in their fields.
Topics include a wide range of subject matters, such as:
- Historical racial trauma
- Generational abuse
- Black women stereotypes and imagery
- Mental, physical and spiritual health (including self-care)
- Interpersonal relationships
- Creating generational wealth in the Black community
- Black girl magic; empowerment and the legacies of our resilience

Carlette wrote her doctoral thesis, a comparative study, on the racial experiences of Black American women and Black British women. She specialises in microaggressions, particularly, microinvalidations. She also presents on topics such as medical racism, cultural understanding, racial trauma, and racial battle fatigue. Carlette has hosted Lette’s Chat since 2011 and relaunched the series in 2022.
